Our graduate engineering programme  

As a graduate mechanical engineer, you’ll work in the mechanical design team to design structural/civil and mechanical installation on project sites around the globe. You’ll join a comprehensive 2-year training programme, based in Dubai but working on projects across the region (Africa, Middle East, Asia) and around the world. You’ll be supported by a chartered mechanical engineer and follow the IMechE Monitored Professional Development Scheme (https://www.imeche.org/membership-registration/professional-development-and-cpd/the-monitored-professional-development-scheme-graduates) ready to move into an engineer role at Aggreko at the end of the two-year programme.

  What we’re looking for:  

  We’re looking for motivated individuals with a degree or relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, who speak business level English and want to learn and develop their career.  

  You’ll need to have a sense of adventure as you’ll be working across the world.

  We’ll help sort the relevant visas with you, but you will need a valid passport with at least 9 months’ validity. 

   

  Quick checklist: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent qualifications). 

• You’ll be able and willing to travel across the region, and worldwide when required.

• Experience using the following software: ​ AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD systems), STAAD PRO, STAAD Foundation Advanced, FEA (ANSYS, etc), Auto PIPE, CAESER (preferred), Mathcad

• Understanding of engineering processes and appreciation of the commercial constraints.

• Good diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Well organised and self-disciplined approach to working.

• Business level English 

• Valid passport with a minimum validity of 9 months
