REPORTS TO : Used Car Manager POSITION TYPE: Full-time

PAY: $15.00 hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lot Attendant is responsible for making sure that all aspects of the “first impression” are attended to. The Lot Attendant also assists the Sales staff with some day to day tasks. So, you’ll have to be on point with your prioritizing skills!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High attention to detail

• Valid Michigan Driver’s license and an insurable driving record - You’ll be moving a lot of cars!

• Comfortable working with computers, strong typing skills, and creative writing abilities

• High School diploma

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeping the front lot clean and safe by means of removing trash and debris as well as snow and ice.

• Making sure all cars are clean inside and out – This is where that attention to detail comes in handy!

• Daily cleaning and polishing of new cars in the new car showroom and display pad

• On a daily basis: start, gas, clean, and align vehicles as needed. One row is to be done each day.

• Pictures of inventory uploaded to VIN-solutions for our website – Release your inner photographer!

• Assisting salespeople and manager for pickup and delivery of cars

• Washing vehicles by bringing them through the car wash

• Follow all required safety and hazardous materials procedures as required by dealership policies and applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA and MIOSHA

  OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General cleanup of dealership including, but not limited to; dealership, lot, restrooms, and shop – We need to be as bright and shiny as the new cars coming off the delivery truck!

• Back up the detail departments for cleaning and detailing vehicles for the lot or delivery for salespeople

• Assisting customers on the lot by finding a salesperson

• Relating positively and courteously with diverse groups of people (customers, visitors, and staff)

• All other duties as assigned – can’t forget this one!

  PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand for six to eight hours per shift

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and stretch – Gotta stay limber! You’ll be jumping in and out of cars a lot.

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

• Ability to work in conditions such as: varying temperatures, weather elements, noise, dust, and fumes – You’ll be outside a lot! A great opportunity to enjoy the Michigan weather (good and bad)!

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends – No Sundays!
