Description: A Remote Embedded Software Engineer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar discipline, and 5 or more years of relevant experience. In this job, you will support development and coding of embedded software in C.

Embedded Software Engineer job duties include:

· Use your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, certify and improve cutting-edge software products.

· Perform coding, debugging, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout the development process.

· Develop software documentation

Job Qualifications:

· BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline

· Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. aerospace, defense, medical device)

· Experience with engineering standards such as DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754

· Avionics experience

· Fully proficient in procedural or object oriented languages such as C/C++ or Ada

· Experience working with version control systems such as Git/GitLab

· Experience developing on bare metal or RTOS systems and applications

· Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities

· Ability to apply software engineering skills with little to no mentoring or training

· US Citizenship only

Desired Skills:

· Experience with large Space Design Programs or Space Flight Operations

· Experience working with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Jira

· Proficient with VectorCAST

Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $90,000-130,000 per year. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations. Benefits offered include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k); holidays and paid leave as required by law.
