We are looking for someone to provide technical assistance for a variety of machines, devices, tools, and equipment at the new Hive Community Center in Parker, Colorado Part-Time (up to 25 hours per week)

Creative Technology Professional Parker, CO - Part-Time The work schedule is subject to variation based on the operational requirements of the business and may include evenings or weekends.

Who We Are The Hive Community Center is a one-of-a-kind space created for the community to come together to create, play, learn, and socialize; but most importantly, to have FUN! It is a creative space with all sorts of technology and tools to allow creatives and technology folks alike to have a space to create alongside one another while we supply the tools! There is a gaming room for those who want to practice their golf swing or those who want to game online. There is also audio/visual rooms for our local business community to create commercials or podcasts or space to incubate those budding business plans. A soda shop with lots of your favorite flavor add-ins and plenty of seating is a place to bring your friends together to catch up before your jewelry class or before you shop in the Makers Mart!

What You'll Do The Creative Technology Professional is responsible for helping guests use the technologies available in various areas of The Hive, including the makerspace, audio/visual space, and the virtual sports and gaming space. You will provide a wide array of technical assistance for a variety of machines, tools, and devices. You will work with employees and customers with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Some of your responsibilities are: Provide technical assistance for a wide variety of technologies within The Hive Community Center, including but not limited to sewing and embroidery machines, cutting and crafting machines and tools, 3-D printers, laser engravers, audio/visual equipment, virtual sports and game consoles, and more Train customers in how to use the machines, tools, and equipment and make technical recommendations when needed Ensure all tools and technology available for use by the public are in good working order and troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions when necessary Provide exceptional customer service and technical assistance in a positive and friendly manner and much more

What You'll Need Required To successfully complete required PPCH training Previous experience using and troubleshooting a variety of machines, tools and technologies such as Cricut cutter, laser engraver, 3D printer, sewing and embroidery machines, vinyl cutter, heat press, various audio/visual (AV) equip (cameras, editing software, lights, microphones, a rode machine, soda machine, Point of Sale (POS) system, To be tech savvy with the ability to search in a variety of places for solutions To be excited and willing to learn how to use and troubleshoot unfamiliar tools and technologies Exceptional customer service skills A calm and friendly demeanor Good verbal communication skills and effective listening skills, even when non-traditional communication is used To be dependable, trustworthy, self-motivated, and able to work independently with little direct supervision To be able and available to work evenings and/or weekends Bonus Points Experience working in recording s udios, libraries, tool libraries, maker spaces, hardware and software support, and various software for equipment like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar is a plus Experience supporting and helping set up equipment for special events or classes is a plus A background or passion for working with the IDD (intellectually or developmentally disabled) population is a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an indoor setting that is accessible by members of the public. The noise level is usually moderate but may occasionally be loud. There may be frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of approximately 10 - 15 pounds.

You'll Get Hourly rate range of $18.10 - 20.81 Up to 25 hours per week Our part-time employees accrue sick time each pay period
