Lamar Community College Concurrent Enrollment and Ascent Program Coordinator in Lamar, Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our team. Under the direction of the Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator oversees the concurrent enrollment and ASCENT programs for LCC. This position involves managing relationships with regional high schools, advising ASCENT/concurrent enrollment students, assisting the Dean in program development, and other miscellaneous tasks. Assignment may include a combination of day, evening, and weekend hours, and off-campus meetings with service area travel required. Perform other duties as assigned. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: PLEASE SEE WEBSITE FOR FULL JOB DESCRIPTION Office time to advise students enrolling in Concurrent Enrollment or ASCENT course work. Data entry to register student using Banner. Coordination and visitations with schools to ensure students are concurrently enrolled with accurate contracts. Strategizing and coordinating with marketing around materials to increase concurrent enrollment and ASCENT engagement. Management of a budget in accordance with college guidelines. Provision of data and assistance as needed with coordinating billing for concurrent enrollment and ASCENT students. Regular presentation to area superintendents to communicate new college practices and facilitate relationships. Participation in state-wide practitioners' meetings. Provide October Count report to area high schools for all ACSENT students. Provide unofficial transcripts to high schools with students participating in the ACSENT program or concurrent enrollment programs. Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Education or education-related discipline area required; Previous teaching and/or administrative experience; Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to maintain and foster complex relationships with both school and university partners; and Capability to travel and work flexible hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of students served at community colleges; Demonstrated ability to work well with others in developing academic programs that focus on student learning and promote student persistence and retention. Ability to assist and guide students having a great range of skills, motivation, and academic or vocational goals. Ability and willingness to maintain currency in teacher education issues, including state regulations and articulation agreements. Ability to initiate, implement, and follow up on projects, including the ability to set specific objectives and measure achieved results. Ability to meet enrollment targets. Effective oral and written communication. Working knowledge of Banner. Implementation of strategies to involve students in the learning process and address the needs of diverse learning styles through the use of a variety of teaching modalities, such as cooperative/collaborative activities, problem-based learning, and teaching to multiple intelligences. Salary Range: $46,000.00 to $48,000.00. LCC offers comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Tuition Reimbursement benefit plans.
