TAD PGS, Inc. Production Industrialization Engineer in Lancaster, New York
We have an outstanding career opportunity for aProduction Industrialization Engineerto join a leading Company located in theLancaster, NYsurrounding area.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000
The Industrialization Engineer will lead the transition from development to serial production. They will be part of a collaborative team for the development and implementation of new products to the production environment.
Responsibilities :
Work with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deployment
Ensure effective performance of Production Equipment
Prototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes
Creation and maintenance of work instructions for the introduction of new products
Document and improve Facility and workstation layout
Ensure process and facility safety
Provide fact-based recommendations on manufacturing purchased items in-house
Project Expenditure Justification
Work with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
Process design through common methods, such as tooling, instructions, and equipment
Present Manufacturing Performance Reviews and equipment Capacity Analysis
PPAS and APQP deliverable creation/development and updated through serial production following Safran GRP guidance
Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs, as assigned
Assist and drive flow improvement projects
Analyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operation
Analyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposals
Implement cost reductions and follow-up to ensure attainment
Conduct time studies to verify labor savings
Documentation and Systems requirements
Process Engineering Change Orders
Maintain documentation as required in the ERP system
Product Design activity
Release new designs
Review and rewrite validation and verification documentation to support product certification
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience; Related additional years of experience may be substituted for education
Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
All applicants must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder)
Desired Qualifications :
10 years of manufacturing experience
Understanding of and experience with engineering testing methods such as planning, executing, and reporting on tests or experiments and interpretation of drawings
Experience with logical troubleshooting steps, methodologies, and analysis to solve technical challenges
Experience and proficiency with technical writing; strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills (teamwork, flexibility) to work with internal and external customers
Software experience - MS Office Tools, Excel, CAD
Solid software experience - VBA programming, Solidworks, Matlab, LabVIEW
Performed Lean deployment
Experience in the aerospace industry
