The Business Strategy and Insights team in Direct Markets is seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant to support strategic communication, business case development, business strategy, and market intelligence within Direct Markets. This is a hybrid role within the U.S, preferably located at either our Schaumburg, IL or Overland Park, KS offices. We will consider a virtual location for a well-qualified candidate.

As a Senior Strategy Consultant, you will support six focus areas of the Business Strategy and Insights team:

  • Developing the Business Unit Strategy by working with our leadership team to determine our aspirations, understand the market context, set strategic objectives, and identify enabling capabilities

  • Delivering Market Intelligence and Insights by researching competitor and emerging trends within the Autmotive industry and understanding their implications for Direct Markets

  • Building Investment Cases by completing detailed functional impact assessments and financial pro-formas

  • Supporting Operational Plan Priorities by providing ad-hoc problem solving support as needed

  • Preparing Strategic Communications by developing storylines for senior leadership presentations, internally or externally, including the Monthly 1-1 deck for the Head of Direct Markets and North America CEO

  • Designing the Organization by assessing the current state and proposing future state designs

A successful candidate will not only bring strong technical skill but a high degree of problem solving skill, learning agility, and flexibility, as this position requires working directly with the DM leadership team and Head of Direct Markets on a wide range of topics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaAND

  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management

  • Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools

  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry knowledge with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline; such as Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Engineering

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $83,700.00 - $137,100.00.
