In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced radiation assurance and packaging engineer to join our team in Manassas, VA. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of radiation testing for space applications, radiation effects, space environments, PCB board design, package design, high frequency digital technologies, mixed signal IC technologies, and electrical testing of RF and digital circuits.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement radiation assurance plans and procedures for electronic packages and integrated circuits
Conduct radiation assurance testing, including total dose, single event effects, proton testing, and neutron testing
Calculate radiation error rates and determine the likelihood of radiation-induced failures
Perform signal integrity analysis for digital, mixed signal, and RF applications
Write test code in various programming environments (python, matlab,
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure radiation assurance requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle
High frequency analysis and signal integrity analysis using tools like Ansys HFSS, Cadence Clarity and Keysight ADS
New business capture experience including shaping new programs with customers, submitting whitepapers and writing proposals.
Module Integration and test experience including new product bring up, debug and root cause failure analysis, RF performance testing using PNA, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
Package and board design experience including single chip, multi-chip packages, chip on board and printed circuit boards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Willingness to travel
Good understanding of high frequency digital, mixed signal IC technologies, and electrical testing of RF and digital circuits
Ability to perform signal integrity analysis for digital, mixed signal, and RF applications
Rapid learning curve
Radiation assurance understanding
Signal integrity expertise
Security clearance or the ability to get a security clearance is required
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Masters degree in Radiation Assurance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
10 years' experience in radiation assurance engineering or a related field for electronic packages and integrated circuits
Good understanding of high frequency digital, mixed signal IC technologies, and electrical testing of RF and digital circuits
Familiarity with radiation assurance testing, including total dose, single event effects, proton testing, neutron testing, and how to calculate radiation error rates
Ability to perform signal integrity analysis for digital, mixed signal, and RF applications
Willingness to travel for radiation testing
Security clearance or the ability to get a security clearance is required
Experience with business capture and proposals
Experience writing white papers and technical papers
Experience with advanced packaging and manufacturing technologies
Ability to perform root-cause-and-corrective action, test-bring-up, and troubleshooting
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
