This role will involve working primarily in the Production aspects of the business but, will also require a significant presence in Fields Operations to ensure that operating equipment is maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations. May include specialized maintenance work on operating equipment, leak detection, valve and hydrant inspection program. _ Key Accountabilities_ * Provide input for preparing and controlling local maintenance and preventive maintenance within established budget limitations. * Ensure local water and wastewater operations meet the required maintenance standards and preventive maintenance standards on mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and computer equipment. * Advise and instruct company personnel on proper operation and maintenance procedures for equipment and systems. * Assist with implementation of standards, targets, policies, and plans to ensure the continuing and increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. * Ensure that operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, security, etc.) is maintained. * Implement effective reporting processes. Provide analysis and support to Sr. Manager and/or Superintendent with information required for various reports, budgets, and business plans. * Implement and foster the coaching and development of employees, including idea generation, within respective functional areas. Contribute to effective communication by listening and providing constructive feedback * Assist, as directed, in the emergency support, including after-hours calls, to company facilities in the event of any electrical, mechanical or hydraulic equipment failure * Ensure that leak detection equipment is operational and maintained to company standards. _ Knowledge/Skills_ * Knowledge of the water and wastewater regulations within the region that impact the business. * Knowledge of company policies and procedures * Knowledge of process and operational areas. * Knowledge of public water and wastewater system hydraulics. * Possess working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical measurement instrumentation including but not limited to: digital multi-meter, ammeter. * Possess general understanding of design engineering concepts and their application in an industrial application. * Computer literacy. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, project management, asset management and customer information systems. * Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. * Ability to work collaboratively to achieve business goals. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Focused attention to details and highly organized. _ Experience/Education_ * Technology degree and Internship experience in electrical and mechanical industrial equipment preferred. * HS diploma, Associates degree or technical school equivalent plus additional experience and/or certifications and other education and training may be substituted for formal. * 3+ years experience in operations, maintenance operations, performing hands-on specialized maintenance work on operating equipment, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and computer equipment. _ Certifications & Licenses_ * Valid driver license. _ Work Environment_ * Field work in all types of weather. * Will require off hours work during evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. _ Travel Requirements_ * Travel within designated geographic area, including up to 5% overnight, as required.
