What are my responsibilities?

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the assigned Business Administration organisation, i.e. Commercial Project Manager as well as Engineering Commercial Manager

  • Drives project portfolio and Engineering expenditures together with the business area manager to ensure excellence in project execution and controlling. Jointly conduct business, financial and project reviews to manage the business and project/engineering financial performance

  • Oversees and ensures completion of all accounting, financial statements and reporting, and other finance related operations to provide explanation of financial reports to external auditors and internal stakeholders.

  • Plan financial performance and resource allocation including business targets, budget and rolling forecast

  • Supports accountable business area manager by providing advice and proposing measures to manage the overall business operation including Profit and Loss responsibility.

  • Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities as well as strategies to create an effective contract and claim management in all relevant business cases (supplier, customer, service providers)

  • Reviews and signs off contractual and legal terms and conditions of contracts, and the proposals in accordance with the signature authority guideline

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You are highly experienced in Commercial Project Management including the usage of related tools, e.g. SAP, Roccit and ProjectDAsh

  • You have longtime experience as Commercial Project Director and/or Senior Commercial Project Manager role. Having successfully performed the Siemens SCPM-certification will be an advantage.

  • Experience in commercial management of Rail Infrastructure projects if a plus.

  • Previous experience managing a team as this position will manage a team of 20-25 Commercial Project and Business Administration Managers with the respective reporting lines.

  • Extended experience in financial controlling and accounting, contract and claim management as well as international business environments.

  • Excellent language skills (written and spoken) in English are required. German language skills will be an advantage.

  • Outstanding Leadership and communication skills
