About the role The Operations Auditor and Analyst will assist with safeguarding the Company’s largest assets, inventory and capital equipment, and ensuring the most efficient and effective capital investment decisions. One of the primary responsibilities is auditing the Company’s global capital projects to evaluate the actual benefit/return of these capital investments against planned results. The other key responsibility is to ensure proper inventory controls, accuracy and adherence to corporate policies/procedures across all global manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Responsibilities Review returns on investment (ROIs) and justifications submitted for significant capital expenditures and visit the applicable locations to review the actual results achieved against the anticipated/planned return or benefit. Visit the various global Company locations to observe and audit inventory cycle counts and physical inventories, ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, sufficient documented procedures, adherence to policies and associated controls are in place. Random audits of inventory system counts to validate accuracy of inventory balances, capital and transactional controls and safeguards and identification of any control risks or weaknesses. Review of excess inventories and identification of the causes of the excess condition. Auditing of capital assets in each plant and ensuring tagging and other policies and procedures are being performed as required. Review of inventory processes, access and controls for completeness and identification of weaknesses and potential problems. Assist in review of ROI submittals for budgeted capital expenditures during the budget process as well as new submittals throughout the year. Other special projects as required. Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Ability to plan ahead while remaining flexible to dynamic situations. Must be analytical, resourceful and observant, with a strong attention to detail. Have the ability to think quickly and independently during plant visits and reviews. Ability to foster positive relationships and work with varying functions and levels of personnel throughout the Company. Ability to summarize and present information clearly and concisely required. Enthusiasm and a desire and willingness to learn. Excellent analytical skills required. Must be comfortable working in manufacturing environments. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration required Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or internal auditing required. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in reviewing and auditing controls desired. Ability to review, understand and evaluate ROI’s and other financial analysis tools. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications required. Travel Travel of 60-70% to various global Company locations required.
