Overview:
The purpose of this work is to perform support activities necessary to maintain the fielded baselines and to perform software and tech refresh activities necessary to sustain the capabilities provided by the Automated Civil Engineer System (ACES) Family of Systems (FoS) at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, AL.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide management, direction, decision making, administration, quality assurance and leadership for the ACES FoS Support Services team
Provide oversight of program deliverables to ensure a successful delivery
Create and maintain information technology project plans that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation
Support the development of internal and external briefings inclusive of program execution reviews, and executive meetings
Provide a summary of all project milestones and their anticipated completion dates; data on cumulative funding and expenditure rates and status
Participate in customer meetings, effectively communicating program status and request clarification on issues when needed
Coordinate the compilation of program documentation inclusive of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, management plans, and directives
Work with highly technical teams to develop IT solutions, report status and assist with other support tasks
Actively engage with functional support teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Ability to effectively communicate and manage staff work allocations and assignment progress to meet deadlines
Other duties as required
Occasional travel within CONUS may be required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher desired in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management)
10-15 years project/program management experience, managing technology and/or cybersecurity programs and projects of similar scope and complexity directly supporting DoD organizations
Experience managing technology projects in an Agile, DevSecOps delivery methodology
Strong analysis skills, with the ability to identify and improve documentation to support operations and technical teams
Experience with Program/Project Management principles and concepts (WBS, PWS, IMS, RACI, Risk Management)
Experience performing internal process audits; monitor/track corrective actions; monitor process implementation; perform process checks on internal procedures; review contract deliverables
Active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional or PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP®) Certification, or DAWIA Level III Program Management (PM)
Prior leadership experience, managing direct reports, as well as functional staff and subcontractors for program team of similar size/scope (50-100 personnel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly communicate ideas
Familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity documentation and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and processes
Active Security clearance
