About Mountain View Therapy

Mountain View Therapy is the leading provider of outpatient and acute care therapy services in Western Colorado. We are a unique group of rehabilitation clinics with a comprehensive range of services for all ages from birth to the elderly including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy; Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation; and Wound and Ostomy Care.

About The Career:

The staff Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination, and implementation of the treatment plan; maintenance of informative, accurate, and timely documentation; participation in team meetings; training of others as indicated; and participation in continuing education. Provide services to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

All About You :

a) Education: Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado. Must have Current BLS Certification.

b) Training & Experience: One year of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting is required. Modified Barium Swallow knowledge, Visi-pitch knowledge and/or Vital Stim Certification are preferred but not required.

c) Job Knowledge: Relates well with various people and personalities of all ages. Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills in a variety of staff and patient-related situations. Recognition of own limitations in practice and ability to seek out support and expertise of others. Demonstrates maturity as related to emotional involvement and self-assessment skills. Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adaptable. Demonstrates good verbal and written language skills including correct spelling and medical terminology. Demonstrates strong formal and informal clinical teaching skills. Demonstrates the ability to delegate effectively. Ability to work with patients of all ages. Awareness of Medicare and other insurance's regulations for coverage of speech therapy services.
