Nuveen Investments CDAIO - Production Support Senior Associate in Mumbai, India

The Specialist Support Analyst programs and configures software to meet business needs. Under limited supervision, this job identifies and analyzes business software needs, writes complex code to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's information technology (IT) platform and infrastructure and conducts testing to ensure programs are functioning properly. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the applications development and support area.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Interprets written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop advanced technical solutions that meet business needs in financial industry.

  • Collaborates with information technology (IT) and business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end-to-end technical solutions.

  • Performs complex coding to written technical specifications.

  • Tests the resulting coding components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans.

  • Investigates, analyzes and documents reported defects and raising issues as appropriate.

  • Analyzes run time profiles to debug errors that may exist and performs maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.

  • Solves complex defects that arise through own work or the work of others

  • Manages large application development and software processes, along with guiding and mentoring lower level professionals.

  • Extend Production Support inL3capacity. Being able to design the solution technically.

  • Providedata solutions, implementbusiness logics in production, automate repetitive issues and manual tasks, permanently fix the production issues, Train team members whenever required.

  • Collaborate and work with businessusers, admin teams, DEV teams, infrastructure teams and other app support teams on production issues and develop the solutionstoresolve them.

  • Drive Automation, Permanent Fixes to prevent issues from reoccurring.

  • Bring continuous improvements to reduce time to resolve for production incidents.

  • Perform root cause analysis and identify and implement corrective and preventive measures.

  • Constantly upskill with tools & technologies to meet organization’s future needs.

  • Effectively manage multiple, completing priorities

Technical Skills:

  • Good command on ETL Logics (Py-Spark preferable) / Datawarehouse (snowflake preferable).

  • Phenomenal technical knowledge in Spark, Python/Java Spring Boot.

  • Exceptional skills on problem solving and solution design.

  • Application development knowledge on cloud base DWs.Cloud basic exposure and AWS based app support.

  • ITIL framework. Incident/request/change managements. Service now.

  • Experience in building / enhancing logical and physical data models for Data Lake and knowledge of ETL, API integrations, Streaming data ingestion and data governance.

  • Outstanding knowledge of Unix & Shell Scripting

  • Unprecedented command on database Snowflake/Oracle/AWS RDS and languages (SQL, PL/SQL).

Secondary

  • Experience/knowledge of Java Spring boot, Kong, Data Authentication, Stibo-step is a plus

  • Experience in message streaming (Kafka, OpenShift etc.)

  • Knowledge on scheduling tools like Autosys and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.

Soft Skills:

  • Team Builder – ability to build a global team environment. Partner with Development, Infrastructure teams and Peripheral Systems and business users.

  • Effective delegation of tasks in conflicting priorities.

  • Ability tomake the team to work under pressure to deal with Production Priorities

  • Upskill & Upgrade self as per strategic roadmaps as well create road maps for the team upskill.

  • Good Communication skills

  • Demonstrate ownership and profound sense of responsibility for production issues.
