Painter / Prep - Primary responsibilities include using various materials and tools, following written and verbal instructions, providing clear communication of materials needed, and meeting quality control standards. 

Note: These are some of the various types of work performed. Secondary responsibilities coincide with primary responsibilities and being a reliable asset to our team.  The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.

Experience/Skills

• Prior experience as a painter working with automotive type materials and equipment
• Ability to prioritize daily workload
• General knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply
• General knowledge of automotive painting techniques using HVLP equipment
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, spray guns, etc.)
• Good basic math skills
• Manual dexterity and balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Pass drug screening

• Can read a tape measure properly

   

Responsibilities

Manage paint booth product material inventories and ordering

Attend work regularly and on time

Sand, mask, clean, prep and prime surface with appropriate material prior to painting

Mix paint and other materials for application

Paint surfaces with spray utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques

Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions in compliance with safety programs

Maintain tools and equipment, keep workplace clean and organized
