Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Application Analyst in New York, New York

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks Application Analyst in New York, NY to interpret and evaluate client informational needs, gather and analyze relevant data and develop these into appropriately detailed computer flow charts, programming logic and code solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement business requirements. Develop detailed system and program specifications for Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling applications, including data conversion, interfaces, and custom reporting to ensure business requirements are met. Provide input for production related issues. Utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement and functional specifications. Configure application setup to optimize end-user workflow and system capabilities. Identify, understand and communicate configuration options within core system processes to end users to facilitate full system capability utilization. Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in IT systems across the organization. Collaborate with business owners to translate system functionality and configuration to business process requirements. Coordinate and perform tests, including system, integration, and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications. Conduct research into on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Perform GAP analysis of existing systems to identify potential system modification/configuration enhancements. Participate individually or with a group on Application implementation projects. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. Assist in various projects ensuring that assignments and goals are completed accurately within assigned timeframes. Develop and maintain system documentation of changes implemented and store these on a centrally retrievable location, as defined by department policies. Develop data and configuration dictionary to document customized settings of supply chain applications. Telecommuting permitted. EEO/VETS/ADA.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of experience in the position offered or a related role.
