Title:

Network Engineer

KBR is looking for the ideal candidate to serve as the JMETC Network Engineer Lead. The JMETC program is focused on developing and deploying the processes, architecture, and middleware to facilitate cost effective integration of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) entities needed to support the DoD acquisition community testing needs utilizing a distributed testing approach. JMETC will be integral to testing systems-of-systems applications within a realistic joint mission construct.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing a well-rounded System Engineering approach in the design and performance of the Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Networks. Functions as the leader of the JMETC Network Team.

  • Working with government, contractors, industry, and customers to provide Network collaborative services.

  • Providing technical direction for interconnecting distributed test and development laboratory enclaves.

  • Coordinating technical support with JMETC test customers, Systems Control, Network Operations and Security Centers, and Cyber Security teams. Experienced in DoD Network management, common network troubleshooting tools and techniques.

  • Working with customers to ensure the availability of the network and networked service adequately support distributed test events.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    ​Must have the following:

  • Education: Technical Bachelor's Degree (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

  • Minimum of 9 years' experience to include the following: a. DoD Testing and Training Ranges, b. Military Instrumentation Systems c. Data Analysis

  • Distributed Test and or Training Experience

  • Experience working with DoD Wide Area Networks and familiarity with various network architectures, multicast data flows, and common protocols

  • VoIP / Call manager infrastructure design and troubleshooting experience

  • Coordination, Communication and Presentation skills Security Certification CISM or CISSP

  • United States Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

    Prefer Knowledge in any or all of the following:

  • Modeling and Simulation (M&S)

  • Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Environments

  • Test Analysis and Test Planning

  • DREN, SDREN and DISN engineering experience

  • Middleware protocols- HLA, DIS and TENA

  • TRMC, CTEIP and S&T Programs

  • DoD Programs and Acquisition process

  • Testing in Distributed Exercises/Events

  • Cisco and Juniper Network certifications

  • Windows Server and Red Hat systems administration experience / certifications

  • Experience in VMware environments

  • Cisco Next Generation Firewall
