Regional Surgical Sales Manager (d/f/m) Region DACH

The Regional Surgical Sales Manager (RSM) DACH is responsible for leading the Surgical Account Manager (SAM) DACH team. The RSM is responsible for leading and executing key business initiatives and implementing the necessary resources required for developing and growing Abiomed’s business within the DACH region. Furthermore, takes care for the team's strategic and tactical operations to ensure the achievement of business outcomes to best address patient care and outcomes. He/she understands, articulates, and supports the organization's mission, vision, goals, and strategies and has the ability to effectively translate these to the surgical sales team.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan aligned with corporate objectives that empowers the regional DACH team to exceed revenue plans

  • Conduct AARs and plan of action with local regional surgical team

  • Identify opportunities, generate market awareness, and drive adoption of Abiomed surgical product portfolio

  • Support and open new accounts and built KOL network

  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the SAM team through 1:1 travel and on-site coaching

  • Coordination and management of joint activities with local Regional Clinical Manager, Physician Program team, marketing & training department as well as local cardiological franchise teams

  • Ensuring the competence of staff and clients through the development, retention, and performance management of the Surgical Account Manager

  • Continuous development of his team's personal and professional skills

  • Grow and establish peer-to-peer surgical networks to share best practices and develop peer-to-peer educational programs

  • This in coordination with our Physician Program Department (PPD) team, Medical Office, Marketing, and the local teams

  • Cooperation, development, and implementation of surgical campaigns with the EU/US marketing teams

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty and professionalism

  • Conferences: Represent us at surgical conferences across the EMEA region

  • In rare situations, where no team member is available, case support is required

  • Ability to travel regularly 60%

  • Regular meetings with field team and clients is required

Qualifications

Your Expertise

  • College degree in business, Nursing, Cardiac Engineering, or equivalent medical degree required

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of medical device sales within Heart Failure, Cardiac Surgery, Interventional Cardiology or Endovascular Surgery Industry

  • Strategic Selling Skills

  • Clinical trial experience with medical devices is a plus; strong cardiac operating room and/or cath. lab experience

  • Ability to choose methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results

  • Performing duties and responsibilities in accordance with all laws and regulations required for the medical device industry

  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency in German and English
