East Bay company seeing a Equipment Technician to join our truck shop.

$28-35/hr depending on experience

As part of our fleet maintenance team this role will work to:

• Perform on-site routine, preventative and corrective maintenance of tractors, trailers, and chassis in accordance with DOT and company policies and procedures

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various types of MHE such as forklifts, pallet jacks, floor sweeper/scrubbers, and industrial batteries

• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, gear pullers screwdrivers, jacks, drill press, screw gun, grinder, welders, torch, electric drill, etc.

• Proficiently operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently

• Inventory and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and supplies

• Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules & procedures

• Maintain organized and clean work area

Requirements

• Experience working on diesel engines, chassis, trailers, TRUs, MHE or other relevant experience in fabrication/welding

• Must have demonstrated analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance

• Licensed driver in the state of California

• Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs

• Ability to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks

• Able to work independently without direct supervision and prioritize work

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

• Capable of conflict-free working relationships with co-workers
