This Diesel Mechanic position at Anytime Anywhere Truck Repair is focused on providing top service to our customers who have roadside assistance needs. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing all types of diesel maintenance issues. Qualified candidates must have prior experience in diesel repair and have proficiency in the use of all types of tools.

Our company is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to work on diesel trucks, buses, and other equipment. You will be responsible for performing repairs, maintaining vehicles and keeping records of maintenance performed. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be called in whenever there is a need for diesel engine repairs. You should have experience with diagnosing malfunctions related to fuel systems, emissions, engines and electrical components, along with the ability to repair them. Other duties include checking the condition of tires and replacing them if necessary. Our ideal candidate has the right combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair problems with all aspects of diesel engines (in-line and rotary), transmissions, fuel systems, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
  • Use hydraulic tools to remove and install new components, including timing gears and accessory drives.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, such as changing oil filters, spark plugs, air filters and fuel filters.
  • Update logbooks with maintenance history and any repairs made.
  • Disassemble, inspect and reassemble engines and other components for routine maintenance (e.g. radiator hoses, alternators, water pumps).
  • Observe machinery for signs of malfunction or wear and take preventive measures to mitigate any potential damage.
  • Prepare damaged machinery for repairs (e.g. cutting metal with a grinder to remove frames from a machine).
  • Clean machinery using cleaning products and power tools.
  • Test machine functions following repairs by running engines at high-speeds under load.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: \$25.00 - \$35.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
