SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Keep the building in a clean and orderly condition.Assist in facilitating special station events. Perform duties assigned in addition to lifting, stacking and handling materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform heavy cleaning duties, remove debris and perform custodial tasks as assigned Work without direct supervision Work alone and in a group setting Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities Order cleaning supplies, receive and deliver material for the department, distribute water to employee areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and other passenger and employee areas including the platform concourse, remove trash and debris from platforms and passenger areas, use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces, dust furniture and scrub surfaces, move equipment and furniture, maintain cleanliness of the escalators and elevators and all Amtrak station areas open to passengers Participate in safety walkabouts, identify and report safety concerns and/or repairs Operate a motorized vehicle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Some years work experience in custodial and/or janitorial work Must have a valid state issued driver's license Perform all duties related to cleaning and maintaining Ability to lift 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Janitorial work experience with a large corporation Experience operating mechanized cleaning equipment and heavy tools

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The hourly range is $17.42 - $23.23(with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
