As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (e.g., oil free air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and environmental compliance exhaust) to support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities.

  • Support daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability, and environmental objectives of facilities mechanical systems.

  • Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging and troubleshoot mechanical systems systematic issues and provide evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems.

  • Develop engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and provide engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication, and provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

  • Partner with business unit customers and internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems.

  • Partner with operations and maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits.

  • Develop mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 6+ years of facilities Engineering experience, and fundamentals of the various Mechanical facilities systems. Or

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of Facilities Engineering experience, and fundamentals of the various Mechanical facilities systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • Project Management

  • Asset management planning (AMP)

  • Infrastructure mapping

  • Facility conditions assessments

  • Semiconductor experience
