The Position
As a member of the Total Rewards CoE, the Global Employee Shares Manager will be responsible for managing and administering the company's global employee share plans. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing the day-to-day operations of the plans, and communicating with employees and other stakeholders.
Relationships
This position reports to the Head of Global Employee Shares. Collaborates with the Global Total Rewards & Mobility Partners, Global HR Business Partners as well as other functions within Novo Nordisk, Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, etc.
Interacts with all levels of management and executives on various equity topics.
Other relationships include external vendors such as Computershare, Willis Towers Watson, Tapestry, and professional organizations (such as NASPP & GEO).
Essential Functions
Act as the Equity Partner for the Americas
Lead certain areas of share plan administration such as financial reporting, recharge process, and tax compliance
Collaborate with Legal and Finance stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Work closely with Mobility to maintain and ensure accurate mobile employee locations are updated to ensure appropriate taxation
Generate reports as needed for audit, tax, and legal/regulatory filing purposes globally
Maintain documentation of assigned processes related to equity administration
Partner with Group Internal Audit (GIA) to ensure and demonstrate internal controls are in place and executed
Establish plans and ensure compliance in all assigned countries; including, but not limited to any statutory filing & exchange requirements
Develop and execute engaging Communication plans to employees and key stakeholders and respond to questions or concerns
Stay current on regulatory, legal, and other developments affecting the treatment of equity compensation
Participate in and lead various projects as determined by business need and critical initiatives
Partnership with broader total rewards team in providing input and recommendations regarding employee communications, education materials and maintenance of internal portals
Ensure timely and accurate tax withholding and reporting to global payrolls
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree required
Requires a minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in HR
Minimum of three years equity compensation experience preferred; relevant experience, such as a Rewards, HR, Communications or Finance role, may be substituted upon evaluation
Ability to build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with others inside and outside the organization
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Share Plan Management Systems
Strong collaboration skills in working with all internal and external HR teams to successfully achieve goals and project deliverables
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
