Ferguson is currently seeking a Valve Technician to join our Valve & Automation Team! If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new things every day & challenging your mechanical skill then this job is for you!

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Payrate: Currently starting at $25 per hour and might increase depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build manual valves into automated valves

• Evaluate valves for repair and qualify repair opportunities

• Support our team in the field by performing fast turnarounds

• responsible for assembly of all automated packages.

• Packaging and shipping orders. Receiving of inbound products

• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage and transfer of product

• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools and equipment in the Automation center

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating machinery for fabrication and the use of cutting and drilling materials preferred

• Valve assembly and/or valve repair experience is a plus

• Must have excellent mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things

• Demonstrate basic math skills, ability to calculate quantities of product on hand

• Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced customer service environment

• Be a proponent of working in a safe environment and promote safety everyday

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
