Fortive Corporation China Finance Controller in Pudong, China

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual budgeting & monthly/weekly forecasts for commercial and manufacturing controllable financial documents including presentations to the regional and global Leadership Team.

  • Lead regional FP&A work, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and partners across the business to support optimal decision making and drive operational performance and efficiency. Responsible to provide accurate and insightful reporting to the leadership team and other partners as requested and as required to ensure key business issues are communicated and acted upon in a timely manner thus ensuring the quality, clarity, and integrity.

  • Closely observe pricing dynamics and drives margin expansion. Meantime supervise MFG costing status to make pricing proposals, initiative VAVE projects, and drive continuous productivity improvement.

  • Black dot for booking and records. Responsible for compliance with local and Corporate accounting policies and procedures in all aspects including finance reporting, tax, cash management, risk management etc. Collaborate with international team for transfer pricing, customs duty, tax planning and other statutory matters.

  • Lead credit, collection, and payables; support management team to evaluate CAPEX program. Sustain best-in-class capital and assets performance that supports business growth

  • Build a strong finance team and expand talent bench across finance organization including forecasting resource needs, recruiting, performance management, training, and growth/development.

  • Drive a continuous operational program that applies new tools, automation and good practices to improve the effectiveness, velocity, accuracy and insightfulness of the team’s work.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. CPA is a must and Big 4 working experience is a plus. Understanding of US GAAP is required.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications and other digital tools. Experience with Oracle/Hyperion is preferred.

  • Comprehensive financial analysis skills that enable evaluation of sophisticated business transactions.

  • Knowledge and experience of financial planning and business controls / SOX.

  • Interpersonally savvy and ability to deal thoughtfully and considerately with customers/personnel at all organizational levels

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Be a magnet. Proven track record of attracting, deploying and developing talents. Strong coaching, assessment, motivation, training and empowerment skills.
