To rehabilitate, through exercise therapy, people with cardiac, pulmonary and/or metabolic diseases. To teach Wellness Center clients the principles of exercise and how to progress themselves safely through an exercise program. Assess fitness status of Wellness clients and perform periodic re-evaluations to monitor progress. _Education/Experience:_ * Bachelor degree from an accredited school with a Major in Health Science or Physical Education. * One year recent/relevant experience in medically-oriented exercise setting. * BLS and ACLS certified (or obtain ASAP) _Skills/Abilities:_ * Write Exercise prescriptions * Perform Fitness Assessments and interpret and review Monitor Cardiac Rehabilitation clients in group setting Work well with interdisciplinary team * Deliver didactic lectures in area(s) of expertise Good communication skills _Licenses/Certificates/Registrations_ * NYS Drivers License * Certification as Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine preferred.
