Mechanical EngineeringEmployee Type: Full Time Req’d Experience: 0-3 yearsIndustry: Industrial, Manufacturing Req’d Travel: <10%Description:Mechanical Design Engineer for a manufacturing company specializing in vacuum and controlled atmosphere melting furnaces serving the specialty metals industry.The Mechanical Design Engineer will create drawings and bills of material for parts and subsystems of highly engineered capital equipment project. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work under the direction of a project engineer. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of machine design including systems which may include vacuum, water cooling, hydraulics, and electromechanical drives. The candidate will work with cross functional team members ensuring good engineering practices and designing for human factors. Primary Responsibilities:•Drawings and bills of materials as required by a supervising project engineer•Machine design•Engineering calculations as required to ensure quality design•Customer support and troubleshooting•Occasional field visits on startup, troubleshooting and commissioning as trainingRequired Qualifications:•B.S. in Mechanical Engineering•0-3 years of experience •Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD•Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical design•Ability to travel both domestically and internationally•Demonstrated understanding of Engineering Fundamentals•Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and meet scheduled deadlines•Good analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications (Not Required):•Mechanical FEA experienceCondition of Employment:Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.Consarc Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
