JOB REQUIREMENTS: Jim\'s golf cars is a small business in Reedsville WI, We are family owned and team oriented. Responsibilities: - Lead a team of mechanics and oversee their daily activities - Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of gas and electric golf cars and utility vehicles - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections - Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any potential problems or safety concerns -Troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of powertrains including carbureted and fuel injected small engines as well as DC and lithium-ion powered electric vehicles. - Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who is looking to take on a leadership role. Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used. Test and inspect engines to determine malfunctions, to locate missing and broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments. Dismantle engines, using hand tools, and examine parts for defects. Repair and maintain gasoline engines used to power equipment such as portable saws, lawn mowers, generators, and compressors. Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges. Repair or replace defective parts such as magnetos, water pumps, gears, pistons, and carburetors, using hand tools. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and oiling parts, honing cylinders, and tuning ignition systems. Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete. Replace motors. Obtain problem descriptions from customers, and prepare cost estimates for repairs. Show customers how to maintain equipment. Remove engines from equipment, and position and bolt engines to repair stands. Sell parts and equipment. Grind, ream, rebore, and re-tap parts to obtain specified clearances, using grinders, lathes, taps, reamers, boring machines, and micrometers. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as a mechanic, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and diagnostic tools - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management and customers - Valid driver\'s license ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person: Call 920/754/4175 or email Resume to Jim@jimsgolfcars.com
