Abbott Retail Specialist - maternity leave in Rome, Italy

Job Core Responsibilities

The Retail Specialist is responsible for supporting development and execution of the trade strategy in all categories & Retail channels, in particular developing business plans in top customers - in close collaboration with Marketing Manager and Sales Manager - using the available budget to execute tactics that best support the realization of the objectives.

Description of Responsibilities

Main tasks include:

•Trade and Category Development - deploy a Retail Category roadmap by brand in line with the Retail strategy and coherently with the directions of the Italian commercial strategy. Establish a rigorous model to evaluate the ROI of every major initiative.

•Sales Analysis - perform sales data analysis for the brand and for the performance in the customers. Provide insight and support to better understand customer trends and dynamics.

•Business Forecasting - support sales, demand planning and customers to generate accurate forecasts.

•Sales Force Interaction – provide KAM with customer presentations and promotional materials for customer/brand activations in collaboration with Marketing Department

•Follow all required training programs and have a solid understanding of and compliance with company, divisional and affiliate policies and procedures.

•Support in planning, implementation, and the tracking of key trade/customer projects

•Participate in department specific and cross-department projects in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Demand & Supply, QA, Legal and OEC.

•Responsible for analysis, reporting and dashboard creation of all marketing projects, to manage performance and define corrective actions together with Sales and Marketing Managers.

Knowledge and Experience

•Preferable degree in STEAM or business administration

•Analytical - ability to convert analysis into insights, sustainable strategies, and actionable plans.

•Financial - Understands and interprets P&L and balance sheets.

•Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - resourceful at achieving objectives/ results despite obstacles. Able to sort through complex data to identify the core issues and develop a plan of action to resolve them.

•Strong communication and influence skills – clear, concise, and persuasive in style. Ability to build strong relationships with agency, cross-functional teams, and vendors.

•Takes initiative and follows-through on commitments to achieve results.

•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on collective, collaborative teamwork.

•Strong grasp of spoken and written English

•Working knowledge of standard software packages with regards to word processing and spreadsheet applications.
