Notably, our contributions extend to prestigious platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II, the CH-53K Heavy-lift Helicopter, and the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM). As a Painter I at Albany Engineered Composites, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the appearance and durability of our aerospace products. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks such as washing aircraft sections and components, blending and mixing paints, inks, and coatings to achieve optimal spraying consistency, performing intricate detailing and touch-ups, and orchestrating painting processes for production parts. Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities: * Prioritize safety first in all tasks and consistently adhering to established safety protocols. * Uphold the company's core values of safety, accountability, integrity, respect, passion and innovation, contributing to a positive workplace culture. * Execute various painting tasks with a fundamental understanding of the role's general aspects and a developing comprehension of its finer details. * Work closely with detailed instructions and undergo consistent quality checks to ensure the precision of your work. * Interact primarily within your immediate work unit, engaging in straightforward information exchanges that require minimal explanation or interpretation. * Prepare, assemble, and treat both commercial and military aircraft products. This includes mixing and applying adhesives, paint, or resin systems, securely assembling parts for curing, and addressing surface imperfections as directed in written instructions. * Utilize a range of power tools including sanders, drills, paint guns, routers, and sandblasters to manufacture, paint, and assemble aircraft components. * Uphold a well-organized and clean assembly/finishing area, fostering a productive and safe work environment. Day Monday-Thursday 6AM-430PM

Our Ideal Candidates: To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications: * High School Diploma or Equivalent. * Proficiency in shop mathematics and the ability to calculate resin ratios. * Skill in comprehending and implementing both verbal and written instructions from supervisors and engineering orders. * Familiarity with operating trimming equipment, cutters, grinders, and drills to achieve precise part dimensions within designated drawing requirements and shop order tolerances. * Capability to read and interpret blueprints, a critical skill for ensuring accurate work. * Adept manual dexterity to carry out intricate tasks with precision. * Status as a US Person, as required for Department of Defense Contractor positions.
