This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will fabricate and weld high-value aerospace components. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of process and design engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes resulting in hardware quality. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 10% of the time Shifts available: Weekend Shift and Second Shift Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday (5am - 5:30pm) This position is Friday- Sunday and is scheduled for 36 hours, but the employee will receive an 11% weekend shift pay uplift. As such, the position is paid the equivalent of the 40-hour Monday-Friday shift Second Shift: Monday - Thursday (3pm - 1:30am) Candidate will have to train on a day shift (Monday - Thursday) for about 3 months Interviews will include a technical assessment Responsibilities: Read and interpret engineering drawings and industry specifications Welding of aerospace stainless steel and inconel to blueprint and industry specifications using manual and/or automatic equipment Weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning parts Support/prepare parts for post-weld inspection processes such as dye penetrant, X-ray, and chemical treatments Design support and fabrication tooling required for welding and assembly Excellent communication skills Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers Safely work within an industrial environment Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of direct experience AWS D17.1 certifications Expert ability to weld thin gauge inconel Ability to troubleshoot welds and welding equipment Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment Ability to develop and fabricate fixtures and tooling Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work overtime as required Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: 15+ years of direct experience Aluminum TIG welding experience Willingness to travel Orbital Welding experience Plasma and/or oxyacetylene cutting experience Understanding of GD&T Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill) Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience NDT experience Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $45.64---$63.89 USD Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
