ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

The Sioux Center Community Schools' Board of Education is pleased to announce an opportunity for instructional leadership at Kinsey Elementary School. This position will be available beginning in the 2024-2025 school year with a starting date of approximately August 1, 2024. The Board is especially looking for an Elementary School Principal who can mobilize all the resources of the school and community to make the greatest impact on the achievement of all students in grades TK through three. The successful candidate can build positive relationships with staff, students and community. Also, this candidate can lead and manage positive school change, manage the day-to-day duties and requirements of principal, and always advocate for the best research-based practices in Elementary School instruction.

The candidate should be a strong leader who has the knowledge and skills to make hard decisions that put the high growth and development of students above all else. They should have open, frequent interactions with teachers, students and parents and not be afraid to support and advocate for what is the best practice for students in the classroom. We seek a student-centered, visionary, honest and approachable candidate with a knowledge of curriculum and professional development.

About Our School

The Sioux Center Community School is in rural Northwest Iowa in a community with a population of around 8,500 and serves approximately five hundred students in grades TK through three.
