Emerson Maintenance Electrical - Mechanical -2nd shift- Appleton Foundry in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Appleton Electric, an Emerson owned, growing metal casting foundry in South Milwaukee, WI is looking for Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance individuals to join our 2nd shift team. If you are interested in growth within the organization, this position is for you.

Job Summary

Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance performs duties to keep machines, equipment, or the structure of a facility in repair. Knowledge of motors, air compressors and conveyors, starters, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshooting failures on Industrial manufacturing equipment Perform welding, pipe fitting, and machining tasks.

Some of the benefits for this position include a shift differential, overtime on hours worked over 8 hours in a day, prorated two weeks vacation and up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting minor electrical or mechanical failures on Industrial manufacturing equipment

  • Effectively use electrician’s tools, like hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics for machine troubleshooting and installation

  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing of equipment to detect potential failures

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and / or rebuilding of, cylinders, pumps, valves, air tools, and equipment components

  • Determines root causes of equipment failures, working with maintenance team and operators

Who You Are:

You understand the importance of working safety. You are a team player who is focused on quality who takes the initiative to quickly troubleshoot equipment issues.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Very good problem solving abilities

  • Mount and dismount fork trucks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment when required

  • Mobile throughout facility, going where skills are required – on floor 95% of shift

  • A high school diploma or GED
