Overview of Opportunity

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Growth, a trusted advisor to the President, is a strategic thinker, adept at identifying and capitalizing on market trends, and with strong leadership skills to guide the organization through the next phases of growth/expansion. Across the enterprise, the SVP of Growth creates alignment as well as the adoption of our market, sales and customer strategies and technology tools at every stage of the sales and customer lifecycles. In partnership with operating company leaders, IT, and other key stakeholders the SVP of Growth identifies, pursues and ensures successful execution on go-to-market strategies, our prospect and customer experiences, strategic growth opportunities and a comprehensive growth strategy. They are directly responsible for overseeing, leading and directing the strategies, priorities and performance of Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Revenue Enablement. Additionally, the SVP of Growth fosters continual growth and penetration into new markets by developing multi-divisional relationships and developing and managing trusting relationships with strategic customers and key accounts. As a key leader in the organization, the SVP of Growth will consistently demonstrate our core values, collaborate with stakeholders to achieve company goals, develop and execute on business strategies, and work effectively and positively within the organization, with our drivers, and with external customers. Position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership and influence skills, P&L experience, and deep knowledge of enterprise level transportation marketing and sales strategies.

ATS Vice President Responsibilities including:

  • Grow the Business by promoting cultural change to optimize opportunities for growth; developing strategies in alignment with ATS's Vision, Mission, Values and goals; and driving successful execution of strategy and operating plans.

  • Elevate ATS's Bench Strength by proactively elevating the organizational chart to grow ATS; fostering a culture of development to continually raise the bar; and developing a succession strategy for key roles.

  • Improve Operational Effectiveness by identifying and instituting sustainable solutions that address root cause; orchestrating the pace and process of change to maintain operating effectiveness; and instituting system accountability throughout ATS.

  • Model Organizational Leadership by inspiring others to embrace our Vision, Mission and Values; building a strong network, bringing best practices and talent to ATS; developing trusting relationships and collaborating to achieve success.

  • Shape our Culture by leading a culture in support of ATS's Vision, Mission, Strategy and Values.

  • Align actions, behaviors, performance and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.

  • Carry out managerial and leadership responsibilities in accordance with ATS’s policies and applicable laws.

  • Establish and oversee a strategic and systematic process of developing and executing on market, sales and customer strategies throughout their lifecycle.

  • Partner to eliminate organizational silos and challenge the status quo to create a unified and aligned longer-term growth plan.

  • Innovate and facilitate an innovative culture around market, sales and growth.

  • Partner with IT on market, sales and customer technology tools and lead the adoption of these tools across the enterprise.

  • Partner to develop and to lead our enterprise sales strategies, taking a solution-oriented approach with customers to forge strong and trusting relationships through service offerings and technological advancements; manages key customer relationships.

  • Build our brand internally and externally in alignment with our Vision, Mission, Values and strategies. Lead and oversee the development, management, implementation and impact of our integrated marketing strategy and, external and internal communications plans that support ATS’s market and growth strategies.

  • Drive a cultural transformation that is aligned with our growth strategy; includes leading and overseeing revenue enablement strategies by driving change throughout the enterprise, developing our sales team while institutionalizing our strategies and tools, and translating strategies to actionable plans throughout our sales lifecycle.

  • Oversee and manage the overall financial performance, including but not limited to Revenue Management and overall Profit and Loss for areas of responsibility.

  • Establish operating budget, control funds, and authorize expenditures.

  • Leverage data, KPI’s, and other metrics to identify opportunities to proactively increase overall business performance.

  • Communicate effectively with owners and other members of the executive management team (Board) on a regular basis to review growth strategies and projections as well as our progress across the enterprise on key growth initiatives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and industry partners to remain current on industry trends, best practices and evolving strategies in order to optimize and grow our business.

Ideal Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in the transportation industry.

  • 7 to 10 years of exceptional leadership experience with the ability to relate well with all levels of people inside and outside the organization.

  • 7 to 10 years of experience leading sales organizations and directly leading (or in close partnership with) marketing; responsible for all aspects of the departments including P&L.

  • Has experience using transportation sales and marketing tools; highly prefer experience partnering on technological advancements and leading the adoption of these tools into the sales and customer lifecycles.

  • Is a strategic thinker, influential leader, and collaborator with the ability to identify long-term growth strategies and to balance this with the ability to ensure successful execution of these strategies, monitoring and advising on key checkpoints along the way.

  • Proven ability to elevate bench strength, improve operational effectiveness, model organizational leadership, grow the business, and shape the culture.

  • Excellent business acumen with proven ability to analyze data/situations, utilize metrics and data to proactively project future impact, and problem solve in a timely manner.

  • Strong understanding of financial information and ability to develop and manage robust budgets.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to the present situation in a professional manner, collaborating with others to grow and continually improve the organization.

  • Highly proficient in solving critical issues using sound judgment in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead others in alignment with organizational goals and objectives and to foster positive employee engagement.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills when working with internal and external customers at all levels for effective outcomes.
