Philips Mechanical Engineer in Suzhou, China

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Work with global experts at Best Netherland, Suzhou China and Gainesville US on MRI product development, from value to premium platforms. Develop MRI major components such as MRI Radio Frequency receive coils and patient table. Provide innovative solutions to improve user workflow.

You are responsible for

-Develop mechanical parts on MRI major components.

-As a designer, you will take responsibility on MRI major components R&D, such as RF coils, Patient table or other devices for MRI.

-Design for reliability and for manufacturing Provide technical advice to suppliers, assess potential supplier capabilities Understand cost structure, drive towards minimizing product cost Conduct risk analysis, develop and execute risk reduction plan Conduct subsystem and component tests Ensure compliance with processes and regulatory.

You are a part of

A progressive and energetic team that contributes directly to the growth of the business. You have a direct reporting line to the Manager, MRI Patient Environment R&D , with Cross functional team as your key stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.

-Strong background in mechanical engineering with a MS degree and minimum 1+ year full-time working experience or a BS degree and 3+ year full time working experience.

-Experience with mechanical design, manufacturing process and structure assembly.

-Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance.

-Medical products or household electrical products experience are preferred. -Deep knowledge on plastic product design and development, experience on sheet metal parts or fiberglass parts will be a plus.

-Familiar with surface treatment process and requirement of the plastic product. Familiar with mould injection process.

-Experience with structure design and methods, Pro/engineer and Winchill.

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with different functions, e.g. Manufacturing, Service, System, SW, etc...

-Knowledge of the V-model development cycle. Good knowledge of the English language (both written and verbal)
