Basic Job Functions:

• Detailing / drafting of parts for fabrication using Autocad

• Creating steel erection drawings

• Detailing of primary structural framing, secondary framing parts, large assemblies and fabrication reports

• Entering and editing items in Bill of Materials program

• Preparing erection drawings using Autocad

• Checking work of other detailers for projects of any complexity shortly after completion of initial training

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of direct Pre-engineered metal building detailing experience.

• Experience with Metal Building Software

• High School or General Equivalency Diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in either Architecture or Construction Technology

• Sound knowledge of metal building construction practices

• Strong aptitude for maintaining multiple tasks and assignments

• Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills
