Air Mobility Command Operations Assistant in Travis AFB, California

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Fisher House facility at Travis Air Force Base, CA . Work schedule: Intermittent (Flexible) employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center. Tuition Assistance after one year! Responsibilities Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of Fisher House facilities. Uses Reservation Key, housekeeping report to assign daily work assignments to housekeeping staff. Inspects rooms and common areas for quality control and maintenance issues. Receives returned items, inspects for obvious damage or missing parts and sanitizes IAW infection control procedures. Checks and records inventories and supplies. Provides training to new employees and/or volunteers, and schedules, directs, monitors and participates in daily work load activities and special events. Performs minor repair on equipment as directed. Adheres to safety and physical security regulations and standards. Provides guests information and general instruction to ensure that guests comply with usage policy requirement for facility access and behavior in accordance with Air Force Fisher House rules and policies. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have housekeeping and customer service experience, ability to perform light maintenance and the practical knowledge and/or experience with hazardous chemicals, pest control and bio hazardous materials. Practical knowledge and/or experience with rules and procedures in a Fisher House preferred. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
