As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Designer / Engineer to join our Slovakian Office delivering work across Europe.

You will be responsible for supporting the mechanical design development for our projects. You will work within a multi-discipline team to deliver the mechanical design. You will be responsible for ensuring our designs meet the project requirements and our client’s expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Mechanical Design Deliverables, for example:

  • Mechanical Schematics, Single Line Diagrams, Equipment Schedules, Pipe Routing Diagrams, Ducting Routing Diagrams, Equipment Layout Diagrams, Outline Installation Method Statements, Designer Risk Assessment, Update of Redline Diagrams;

  • Work with the multi-disciplined engineering teams to provide Mechanical support to the delivery of the overall project design;

  • Proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients to improve both the chance of winning work and satisfaction with completed and ongoing work.

  • Employment on the basis of a full-time employment contract;

  • The ability to work in an office or a hybrid model (60% office : 40% home office - upon agreement with line manager);

  • 37.5 h weekly working time and fully cover meal vouchers;

  • Work in an experienced project team, on international/long-term projects in a company present in all areas of infrastructure;

  • Cooperation with engineers from foreign Jacobs’s offices;

  • The opportunity to participate in initiatives related to innovation and its practical use in the automation and optimization of design using various technologies, tools and programming languages;

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree qualified in Mechnical Engineering or equivalent;

  • Good verbal and written English;

  • Proven track record of leading process delivery on projects to meet deadlines and high-quality standards;

  • Experience with any of the following tools:

  • AutoDesk AutoCAD,

  • AutoDesk Inventor,

  • REVIT MEP,

  • AVEVA PDMS or E3D,

  • Navisworks,

  • The ability to identify and deploy, digital and data-based solutions.
