Position Summary:

Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical designs related to Industrial buildings. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual Studies, Systems study, Design criteria, Buildings Equipment Sizing calculations, layout engineering for Industrial buildings, model reviews.

• Vendor drawing reviews, assistance to site team.

• Prepare and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates and quantity take-offs.

• Support the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and job satisfaction.

• Assist in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provide input for their performance evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Basic Qualifications:

• A recognized bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 13 years.

• Site experience will be an added advantage.

Additional Qualifications:

• Broad knowledge of all phases of engineering, design engineering deliverables, electrical materials for large industrial and Infrastructure buildings. 

• Is conversant with use of applicable international design codes governing Electrical systems, Equipment, and Physical design.

• Design, Engineering, and interface of Building Power Management which includes controlling and monitoring of Building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, Lighting, Power Systems, Fire Systems, access control and security systems.

• Extensive Knowledge of electrical system studies using ETAP/EasyPower software and conversant with system studies, calculations, main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, Emergency Diesel Generator Sizing, cable sizing, Grounding.

• Should have worked on Specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment like MV & LV switchgear, MCCs, power & distribution transformers, DC systems / UPS, Cables, lighting fixtures.

• Experienced with the practices and procedures as well as International Design Codes and Standards.

• Has experience with engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.

• Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage challenging multi-cultural relationships across a range of entities.
