What you can expect to do here:

• Prepare Material Requisitions for bid and purchase on mechanical equipment and packaged equipment

• Develop Technical Bid Evaluations for equipment and packaged equipment

• Guide vendors in meeting client needs and specifications

• Champion change management with respect to vendor changes

• Review vendor developed drawings & documentation

• Coordinate with other disciplines to obtain comments on vendor documentation

• Mentor junior mechanical engineers in the development of MRQs/TBEs/MRPs

• Provide feedback regularly of team members when requested.

• Oversee and check the MRQs/TBEs/MRPs of others

• Review and apply the relevant client specifications, codes and standards to mechanical equipment

• Prepare equipment lists

• Support the preparation of Construction Work Packages and Engineering Work Packages

• Participate in the design reviews and HAZOPs

• Assist in the development of WSP and Client specifications using the applicable standards and industry knowledge

• Lead teams of mechanical engineers and provide accurate reporting on budget and schedule to project management team

• Identify gaps and improvements to WSP procedures and templates

• Authenticate professional work product as required

What you’ll bring to WSP:

• Graduate in Engineering, Applied Science or Engineering Technology Diploma

• Registered with Provincial Engineering Association

• P.Eng or P.Tech designation

• Ability to act as a subject matter expert in any of the following fields is an asset:

• Materials Engineering

• Materials Handling

• ASME Piping Standards including ASME B31.12

• Pipeline Engineering

• Be able to handle queries from clients, vendors and project team
