Vectrus Radar Systems Technician in Poland

The Radar Maintenance Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of radar systems and their components. They report to the Radar Systems Supervisor who is overall responsible for the site.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Performs and/or assists in fabrication, modification, assembly, installation, operation, repair and maintenance of radar system components and ancillary equipment.

  • Operates specialized test equipment to isolates, troubleshoot, test, and repair radar system electronic equipment and components.

  • Support engineering efforts related to the design, testing, and analysis of radar upgrades or modifications.

  • Required to work alongside and with other company contractors in harmony.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Successfully completed military training for Radar Repairer or other service equivalent or higher echelon.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience:

  • Five (5) years' of experience working as a Radar Technician or similar technical field.

  • Two (2) years 'of experience leading, coaching, training, or teaching a team or teams.

  • Familiarity with U.S. Military contracts, rank structures, and customs and courtesies.

  • Skills & Technology Used:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to maintain high performance in a highly dynamic, team-based environment.

  • Familiar with weapons systems including racks, launchers, and pylons.

  • General hand tools, TMDE, specialized test equipment which may include bench mounted test, diagnostic, and analysis. Other general automotive, artillery, and radar shop equipment.

  • Work Environment:

  • Work will mostly be performed in a field maintenance environment inside a fabric maintenance facility.

  • The facility is environmentally controlled, hours are generally 8/day x 5 days a week; however, overtime may be required given the gravity of the mission and schedule.

  • Candidates must be flexible and committed to working the required hours to support this effort.

  • Job may require standing, kneeling, and squatting for long periods of time. Working overhead or bent over, lifting of up to 50lbs.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
