Position Summary: Assistant Director of Social Media and Email Marketing

The Assistant Director of Social Media and Email Marketing will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our email and social media marketing strategies to increase alumni engagement and philanthropy. This role requires a creative thinker, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the latest trends in digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing campaigns, from concept to delivery

  • Create and manage segmented email lists, ensuring personalized and targeted communication.

  • Monitor and analyze email campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Optimize emails through A/B tests, segmentation, content, calls-to-action and timing

  • Streamline system workflows and identify opportunities for continuous improvements in email marketing processes.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Oversee the development and execution of social media strategies across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.

  • Create compelling and shareable content that aligns with the Institute and engages the target audience

  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and recommend strategies to keep the brand at the forefront of industry developments.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Annual Giving to develop comprehensive integrated marketing strategies that align with Institute goals.

  • Contribute to the development of an integrated marketing calendar, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of campaigns across channels.

  • Provide guidance on email industry trends development, campaign execution, and performance analysis.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the success of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports to the leadership team.

  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize campaigns, and enhance overall marketing performance.
