Study.com Content Marketing Copyeditor (SEO Focus) in United States

Learn.org is seeking an experienced copyeditor with a background in SEO content writing/editing and/or marketing. This role blends editing and SEO duties. Our Content Marketing Copyeditor will edit high-quality short-, medium-, and long-form copy that incorporates SEO best practices. This includes editing content based on our editorial guidelines and adding internal links compatible with our SEO strategy.

We’re looking for candidates who have a base of SEO and editing knowledge, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the guidelines and expectations at Learn.org. The ideal candidate is interested in pursuing a career related to SEO content marketing.

This is a contract position with the opportunity for growth into a full-time role. We’re seeking individuals who are available to work 30 to 40 hours, Monday - Friday, during regular working hours.     This position may include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Editing content for grammar, accuracy, and quality

  • Optimizing content with internal links and keywords

  • Updating content (adding internal links, improving content quality, etc.)

  • Editing AI-generated articles

  • Writing outlines

  • Providing writer feedback to improve content quality

  • Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Content Manager to keep content deadlines, improve SEO best practices, stay up-to-date on editorial guidelines, and more

    If selected for the next stage of the hiring process, you will be asked to complete a short SEO editing assignment. This will involve light copyediting and testing of your SEO skills. This test will not be published and is unpaid.

    In our hiring process, each resume and writing sample will be reviewed by our recruiting team. We are interested in learning specifically about your experience with SEO.
