Job Description

As the person in charge of major medical facilities, formulate and implement MR activity plans and achieve personal sales plans.

・Collaborate with customers, partners and relevant departments at headquarters to ensure smooth implementation of various programs, including post-marketing surveillance, and determination of sales data at assigned facilities.

・Adhere to corporate policies and ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the information activities of the company's products in accordance with the head office strategy in the territory of responsibility, targeting key customers (doctors, biomedical technicians, nurses, and pharmacies)

  • Develop a strategic territory management plan in the territory of responsibility in accordance with the approved product labelling and marketing strategy and achieve the sales plan for the territory of responsibility through information activities on the company's products.

  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in the analysis and interpretation of sales data and translating the insights and knowledge into executable action plans at the account/territory level.

  • Provide the Region Manager with timely reports on hours worked, sales call data, customer targets, communication responses and expense reports and work without supervision.

  • Communication and negotiation and influencing skills to acquire and output medical and pharmacological expertise on the company's products necessary for effective communication with medical specialists.

  • Successfully managing relationship with partner companies to ensure smooth supply product to hospitals.

  • Completing all Post Market Surveillance tasks, such as contracting, CRF collection and reporting, in a timely manner

  • Operating within approved budget guidelines

  • Providing excellent field communication and direction i.e., emails, voicemails, conference calls, etc…

  • Good communication skills to build good working relationships within the company, especially within the Region.

  • Co-ordinating activities with Field Teammates, Internal Teammates, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, Operations and Technical Support.

  • Adhering to company policy, procedures, and the comprehensive compliance program.

Minimum Requirements:

Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven medical sales experience

  • Medical Representative (MR) qualification

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Valid driving license

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Persuasion and resilience

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

Reports to Sales Manager, Central Japan Region

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based (Aichi、Mie)

  • So-Ho Working Style

  • Frequent domestic trips
