About the Role
We are currently seeking an Energy Modeler for our office in Boston or Burlington, MA. Candidate will be responsible for performing energy simulations using eQuest or EnergyPlus for LEED projects, building code compliance, and for utility incentive programs. The ability to read building system engineering documents and understand building system operations is required.
Position Qualifications (Required)
Associate degree or equivalent technical training/certification
Fundamental knowledge of mechanical system design
Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes
Fundamental knowledge of mechanical concepts
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
High degree of analytical skill and ability
Position Qualifications (Preferred)
2+ years of work experience in energy modeling and energy saving calculations
LEED AP
Fundamental knowledge of building system operation
High degree of analytical skill and ability
Self starter and ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Knowledge of LEED Documentation
Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
Knowledge of utility incentive application process is a plus
