MKS Instruments Inc Manager, Office of the CIO (Hybrid) in Andover, Massachusetts

Overview: The Manager, Office off the CIO is responsible for managing the financial health, operations, and transformation of the IT business as part of the Office of the CIO. We seek a driver who will contribute to the organization's technology vision and strategic initiatives. You will provide leadership, driving the development and implementation of innovative IT strategies to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

This position is hybrid and may sit at our locations in Andover, MA, Broomfield, CO, Irvine, CA or Beaverton OR.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • In partnership with Finance, build a financial process that ensures proper oversight, operations, and transparency of the IT budget

  • Manage a team of analysts that will track the day-to-day spend of the IT team, ensuring that all spend is planned for and tracked appropriately.

  • In partnership with IT leadership and Finance, drive analysis and planning of the IT budget to ensure the team is on track for success in year and planning is in place for future years. This work will include overall IT Portfolio planning and business case development to drive ROI.

  • Act as the central POC in IT for the budget and financial activities

  • Support ongoing reporting and the Monthly IT Business Review.

    Contracts and Vendor Management

  • In partnership with Procurement, ensure proper processes are in place and followed for all IT procurement activities.

  • Drive transparency and alignment of procurement activities to the budget.

  • Act as the central POC in IT for Procurement activities.

    Additional:

  • As needed support the Senior Director and VP, OCIO on projects and initiatives that will drive transformation. Areas of support may include budget operations, analysis and reporting, and ad hoc projects to support the overall IT transformation.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, information technology, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in in a technology team, with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering business results.

  • Experience with defining and driving IT related business metrics and outcomes.

  • Proven ability to execute IT strategies that align with organizational goals and drive sustainable growth and innovation.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Pay Range: $ 97,300 - $180,700 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS (or as applicable).

  • Benefits: MKS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, sick time, 15 paid vacation days, (6 weeks fully paid) parental leave, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement (and for participation in any stock programs, signing bonus, etc.).
