API Heat Transfer Painter in United States

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the powder coat paint booth

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operation of the powder coat paint system according to the established OMS. Cores come from QC and are first prepared for the paint booth by pluggint/taping all holes. Cores are hung on an overhead conveyor and progress through the paint booth, oven and cooler. The operator must manually inspect for missing paint and touch up with a manual paint gun prior to the oven.

  • Prepare and skid cores for the Shipping Dept. All tape is removed and caps are installed over every hole to ensure that no foreign particles get inside the core. A radial arm saw is used to cut runners to place in between cores. Complete Paint Booth Inventory Log and enter into computer system.

  • Maintain an acceptable level of performance.

  • Perform daily operator preventative maintenance and cleaning, including cleaning paint guns to prevent blockage and cleaning blocks and lines.

  • Comply with all of the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies and procedures of API Heat Transfer.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous experience with powder coating systems preferred.
