MIRROR Client Navigator in Wichita, Kansas

Our Client Navigators must have great communication skills, be able to grasp and impart a full understanding of our network of programs, and what they offer, as well as possess meticulous attention to detail. Most importantly, Client Navigator must be passionate about saving lives! Qualified candidates will communicate effectively with potential clients, build a solid rapport, a foundation of trust, and exude empathy and understanding throughout the process. The Client Navigators shall operate in accordance with the policies and procedures determined by the Board of Directors and parties shall abide by all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, specifically, those related to KDADS Licensure Standards and the contractual agreements of funding sources.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Answer the telephone in a pleasant and professional manner. Assure that all telephone messages are appropriately recorded and communicated to the appropriate staff.

  • Receive initial inquiry calls for admission.

  • Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.

  • Gather information and story from the caller.

  • Enter all pertinent information into Electronic Health Record.

  • If needed, initiate contact to gather required clinical, financial, and demographic data from clients and other sources.

  • Is familiar with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and can objectively discuss options with clients.

  • Complete Intake in person or over the phone or work with location admin to schedule when necessary.

  • Schedule Assessments.

  • Coach prospective clients and significant others in seeking treatment when they may be reluctant.

  • Work collectively with the clinical team to engage, educate, and coordinate client care with the client, their identified supports, and community providers to ensure all services prescribed are implemented

  • Collaborates with staff to schedule admission appointments for clients; communicates admissions appointments with appropriate staff/departments to ensure support for incoming patients.

  • Communicates admission with the client, what to bring, and facility guidelines

  • Refers inquires to other agencies and community resources when prospective patients needs are not a fit with Mirror, Inc services

  • Facilitate all the emails from the Mirror, Inc website, get in contact with them, and schedule them where it is appropriate.

  • Coordinate with referral sources when appropriate.

  • Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients as needed.

  • Follow up with clients daily during the admissions process to keep them engaged in services.

  • Some over-time hours past 40 may be necessary

  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Business Development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Previous experience with substance abuse treatment is preferred; preferred experience with a treatment facility in the detox, residential, partial hospitalization ("PHP"), and/or intensive outpatient ("IOP) settings preferred

  • Pass required background checks.

  • Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

  • This position may also involve bending, walking stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds on occasion.
