U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Interdisciplinary (Project Manager) in Wilmington, North Carolina

Summary About the Position: Serves as Project Manager for projects of high dollar value of national priority either Military construction or Civil Works, of environmental sensitivity, of extraordinary urgency, or having similar requirements. Responsibilities Serves as the project manager. Reviews and evaluates the status of projects for attainment of objectives. Plans, programs, and oversees cost and schedule execution of the planning, design, and construction of projects. Represents the District when dealing with the local, state, and Federal officials for the project. Responsible for obtaining and furnishing authoritative responses for project questions and issues. Leads Project Delivery Team, and obtains concurrence of the District Project Review Board, in defining project goals and in preparing a project management plan for project execution. Provides recommendations for compromises and changes in project objectives to District Project Review Board and conveys decisions to non-Federal sponsors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making Project Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
