Description: A Mechanical Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least two years of mechanical design engineering experience with gas turbine engines and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. You will be working closely with the aerospace component development process relating to gas turbine engines.

Mechanical Design Engineer job duties:

• Solid part modeling and drafting using CAD NX, Solidworks

• Perform geometric tolerance studies

• Perform structural analysis hand calculations

• Complete tasks using customer standard work

• Mentor and oversee less experienced design engineers

• Create and present at customer design reviews

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering within aerospace

• Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• Proficiency in NX CAD software

• Gas turbine engine experience

• Ability to work within an integrated product development team

• Strong interpersonal skills

• US Citizen required due to nature of work

• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain

Desired but not required skills:

• Experience with Quality Non-Conformances

• Skills with ANSYS Classic and/or Workbench

• Solidworks experience is a plus

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,00 to $ 114,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
